Setting the new window, the precise moment
Crew fitting and leveling the new unit into the opening. Hands, level, shims. This documents leveling, fit and the approved installation sequence without making an absolute workmanship claim.

05
Insulation & sealing detail
Spray foam / backer rod around the frame. A detail worth explaining clearly and accurately. Tight shot showing the gap being sealed using the approved method for this opening and product, a useful installation detail; any efficiency claim must be verified for the specific product and project.

Topic lobs and starter answers

Send two or three questions before the shoot. Record one clean idea per answer, then use a follow-up example rather than forcing a memorized script.

Topic lob 01

When is a draft actually a window problem?

Send this to the client
What can cause a homeowner to feel a draft around a window, and how do you determine the source?
Natural starter answer
“A draft can come from the window, the installation area or another part of the opening. We inspect the condition, operation and surrounding area before recommending a repair or replacement.”
Supporting shots
Interior symptom, opening context, inspection, verified detail
CTA / guardrail
Do not diagnose from a video or promise a specific efficiency improvement.
Director follow-up
“Can you give one real example?” Then: “What should someone do next if this applies to them?”
Topic lob 02

Repair or replace

Send this to the client
What factors help determine whether a window or door should be repaired or replaced?
Natural starter answer
“We look at operation, damage, water entry, the condition of the frame and the customer’s goals. The right answer depends on the opening and the product, not just its age.”
Supporting shots
Operation, condition detail, frame/opening, owner explanation
CTA / guardrail
Avoid unseen pricing or universal replacement rules.
Director follow-up
“Can you give one real example?” Then: “What should someone do next if this applies to them?”
Topic lob 03

What a clean install looks like

Send this to the client
What details tell a homeowner that a replacement window or door was installed carefully?
Natural starter answer
“The unit should fit the prepared opening, operate correctly, be sealed with the approved materials, finish cleanly and be explained to the homeowner before we leave.”
Supporting shots
Preparation, level/fit, approved sealing, trim, operation, cleanup
CTA / guardrail
Only name methods and materials actually used on the featured project.
Director follow-up
“Can you give one real example?” Then: “What should someone do next if this applies to them?”
Topic lob 04

Condensation explained

Send this to the client
What can interior or exterior condensation mean, and when should a homeowner ask for an inspection?
Natural starter answer
“Condensation can relate to indoor humidity, outdoor conditions, glass temperature or a product issue. The location and pattern matter, so we need to see the actual condition before drawing a conclusion.”
Supporting shots
Glass surface, room context, owner explanation, product label if approved
CTA / guardrail
Do not present a universal diagnosis or health claim.

“Can you give one real example?” Then: “What should someone do next if this applies to them?”
Topic lob 05

Choosing an entry door

Send this to the client
What should a homeowner think about before choosing a new entry or storm door?
Natural starter answer
“Start with the opening, exposure, security, operation, style and maintenance expectations. Product options can then be compared against the home and the customer’s priorities.”
Supporting shots
Old entry, opening, material/hardware options, operation, finished curb view
CTA / guardrail
Verify product, warranty, lead time and performance claims.

Topic lob 06

A local transformation

Send this to the client
Walk through this approved local window or door project from the original concern to the finished result.
Natural starter answer
“A window or door transformation starts with the homeowner’s original concern and a careful look at the opening. We explain what the inspection showed, what work was approved, and which installation details mattered. Then we show the finished opening operating cleanly, without promising a result the project cannot prove.”
Supporting shots
Town-safe exterior, before, process, detail, matched reveal
CTA / guardrail
Verify town, scope, product, customer permission and any numeric claims.
Director follow-up
“Can you give one real example?” Then: “What should someone do next if this applies to them?”

New diagnostic series

Diagnose before replacing

Each short starts with the symptom, separates the commonly confused causes, shows a safe observation, and explains when monitoring or repair may be enough before replacement is discussed.

Room-side condensation vs failed sealed unit

If moisture wipes from the room side, begin with indoor humidity and conditions. If it is trapped between panes, document the insulated-unit symptom and inspect the actual assembly.

Sash draft vs opening leak

Separate air moving through the sash or weatherstripping from leakage around trim, flashing or the rough opening. Do not diagnose from a single hand test.

Glass unit vs frame or installation

Show the glass, sash, frame, opening and surrounding finish as separate inspection zones. A glass-unit issue does not automatically mean a full-frame replacement.

Post-production map

One shoot, organized for every destination

Capture clean masters first. Platform crops, captions, logos and music are added in post so the same approved project can support social, Google, the website and sales follow-up.

6–10Vertical edits from process, education, reveal and owner answers
1Flagship 45–90 second transformation film
20–35Edited stills for Google, website and estimates
4+Clean horizontal clips for service pages
1Verified project brief and permission log

Website and local handoff

Record the approved town, opening type, customer concern, product, scope, installation detail and observed result.

  • Keep raw masters clean and unwatermarked.
  • Provide matched interior and exterior before/after selects.
  • Include product labels only when the exact product is approved for public use.
  • Let the website partner choose target pages, schema and indexing treatment.

Publishing approval

Confirm anything that could affect energy, comfort, warranty, security, financing, pricing or expected performance.

  • Do not guarantee savings, comfort improvements or condensation outcomes.
  • Use approved experience numbers only after the owner confirms them.
  • Use neutral review invitations and genuine customer permission.
  • Track qualified estimates and booked work, not reach alone.

Ready for the next window or door shoot

Open the matching scenario, capture the untouched before view, work the checklist in order, then record the owner explanation and verified estimate action.
