Reshoot day: Eric and Adam

For Eric · Nothing here is posted · We set the date with you

Eric, this is everything for the reshoot in one place. Read the questions before the day, then answer the 5 quick ones at the bottom so we can set it up.

The plan

What we're redoing

Your notes

What we'll fix

Focus. We check it at full size before every take, and again any time you move.

Eye line. You look straight at the camera, like you're talking to a customer. We put a mark right by the lens and check your eyes before every take.

Prep. The questions are below. We do a short run-through before the camera rolls.

On camera

What we'll ask you

Read ahead

Read these ahead of time. You don't need to memorize anything. Talk the way you would to a customer at the counter. If an answer comes out wrong, we just ask again.

  1. People tell you they can't get anybody to call them back. What do they say, and what happens when they call Mesko?
  2. What do you remember from coming into the shop as a kid?
  3. What does your day look like now?
  4. Why has Mesko lasted this long?
  5. What are you proud of here?
  6. What should someone know about Mesko before they call? What do you do for homes, for businesses and for cars?
  7. Last, one line to camera: "Mesko Glass, serving the Poconos since 1958."
Before the day

What to bring

What to wear. A solid shirt with the Mesko logo. No thin stripes or small checks. They flicker on camera.

The van. We'll photograph the new auto glass van. If it can be washed that morning, even better.

Quick answer 1 of 5

What days work?

Waiting on you

Send a couple of days that work. That day we need you for the interview, Adam for his, and an auto glass install we can film.

Quick answer 2 of 5

Adam's last name

Waiting on you

How does Adam spell his last name? It goes on screen under his name.

Quick answer 3 of 5

An install we can film

Waiting on you

Can you line up an auto glass job that day, with a customer who's OK with the camera? We keep plates and customer names out.

Quick answer 4 of 5

Hard hats on auto installs

Waiting on you

Your rule is no installer without a hard hat. Does that cover an auto install in the shop too, or only job sites?

Quick answer 5 of 5

Your name on screen

Waiting on you

Right now it reads "Eric Mesko · Mesko Glass". Do you want a title under your name? If so, which one?
