Content Shoot Plan

The first filming day, shot by shot. Each tab is a field sheet for one kind of job. Pick the one that matches the work in the shop that day, film the priority shots top to bottom, and save ten minutes for the topics.

What the day is forProof a stranger can check fast: real results, your certifications on camera, and you explaining the work in your own words.

Coating day

⏱ 2 to 3 hrs, spread out0/11 captured
01
Walkaround before anyone touches the car
Slow 360 in daylight, then the worst panel up close. Note where the camera stood. The reveal gets filmed from the same spots.
Photo + VideoWideBefore
02
The flashlight test on the worst swirls
Hold the light still and move the camera, not the light. Ten seconds. This is the frame the reveal pays off.
VideoCloseBefore
03
Wash and decon in short clips
Foam, rinse, clay or iron remover, five to eight seconds each. If the iron remover turns purple, give that one a close-up.
VideoVertical
04
The 50/50: a tape line across one panel
Corrected half beside the untouched half. Lock the camera and pull the tape on camera. This is the cover for the correction post.

05
The polisher at work, sound on
One wide from the side, one tight on the pad at eye level. Keep the machine sound for the edit.
VideoNatural sound
06
The coating going on, one panel start to finish
Show the bottle label clearly for two seconds first: Avant-Guard 1051, Revivify, or whatever this job gets.
VideoCloseProduct
07
Water on the finished panel
Hose or spray bottle across the hood, slow motion if the camera allows. Only once the maker's cure time says it's ready.

08
The reveal, from the same spots as shot 01
Same angles, same light if you can. The edit cuts the before and after back to back, so the frames need to line up.

09
The customer's first look, with their yes
Ask when they book, not at pickup. First look at the hood, then ten seconds of what they think. If they say no, film the keys only.

You, by the car, in one line
What came in, what you did, what it's protected with. Twenty seconds, two takes. It can open the reel.

Badge, wheel, the reflection in the paint. Horizontal, clean background. These go on your Google profile the same week.

Before the day

Prep and the run of show

Four things on your side, none of them long. The rest is ours. The day runs on the job's schedule, not the clock, so the run of show follows the job.

Pick a day with a real jobA coating or correction job with real swirls is worth more than three clean cars. An interior the same day is a bonus.
Ask the customer when they book"Mind if we film your car?" at booking, not at pickup. If they'd rather not, we film the work and keep them and the plate out.
Set out the certificates and productsAvant-Guard 1051, Revivify, any other product you install, and every certificate you have. Ten minutes of setup covers the trust shots.
Read two topics the night beforeNo memorizing. Say it the way you'd say it on Viking Vent.
Arrival
Before frames
The walkaround, the flashlight test, the interior as it came in. Mark where the camera stood.
Wash and decon
Process
Short clips only. The car is the star, not the hose.
Correction
The proof shots
Tape line, the 50/50, the polisher at eye level, the flashlight test again.
Midday
You on camera
Two or three topics, ten to fifteen minutes, somewhere quiet. Then the brand shots from The Viking tab.
Coating
Product and application
Label close-ups, then one panel start to finish.
Second job
Second tab
The Interior reset tab, or the Mobile van tab if the day takes you out.
Pickup
The payoff
The reveal from the marked spots, the water test when the cure allows, the customer's first look with their yes.
Before we leave
Check
Run the list, record room tone, grab horizontal stills for Google.
The first three seconds

Six openings to film

Short lines you say straight to camera, filmed on their own so any reel can start with one. Say them your way. Two takes each is plenty.

Opening 1
"Before you coat a car, you fix the paint. Here's why."
Before Topic 02, or over the polisher
Opening 2
"Half this hood is corrected. Can you tell which half?"
Over the 50/50 tape line
Opening 3
"Watch what a flashlight finds on this paint."
Over the flashlight test
Opening 4
"Coins, dog hair and a lot of crumbs. Let's go."
Over the interior before shot. Name what's in the car.
Opening 5
"Your trucks are your business card. Here's how we wash them."
Over the fleet lined up
Opening 6
"Ceramic, Revivify or a wrap. Here's how I'd pick."

Six topics, with starter answers

Pick two or three before the shoot. The starter answer is a direction, not a script to memorize. Say it the way you'd say it on Viking Vent.

Topic 01

Ceramic, Revivify or a wrap?

Your prompt
A customer asks: ceramic, Revivify or Peel Clear Wrap. How do you help them pick?
Starter answer
It depends on the car, how you use it, and how you want it to look. The makers sell ceramic on long-term gloss and water that beads off, so washing is easier. Revivify is a coating the maker says reflows light swirls and micro-scratches with heat. Peel Clear is the clear wrap I explained in June, in gloss, satin or matte. I look at your car first, then I tell you what I'd put on mine.
Supporting shots
The three products side by side, a coated panel with water on it, you at the car
Keep it accurate
Talk only about the products you install. Durability, healing and warranty claims come from each maker's own paperwork, never from memory.
Topic 02

Why correct the paint before coating?

Your prompt
Why do you fix the paint before you put a coating on it?
Starter answer
Because a coating protects whatever's under it, swirls included. So we correct first, then protect. Revivify says the same thing. Paint correction first, for a lasting finish. That's why a coating job takes the time it does, and why the price isn't just the bottle.
Supporting shots
The 50/50 tape line, the flashlight test, the polisher at eye level
Keep it accurate
Show it on the real car instead of describing it. The 50/50 does the explaining.
Topic 03

Before the salt hits

Your prompt
What should someone around the Slate Belt do to their car before the salt trucks come out?
Starter answer
Get it clean and protected before the first storm, not after. Salt gets into the carpet, the wheel wells and the paint, and it sits there all winter. That's what protection is for: it helps the salt rinse off instead of sitting on the paint. Good mats save the interior. Then keep washing it through the winter, even when it feels pointless.
Supporting shots
Wheel wells, the mats, a salty carpet from November, the van out in the cold
Keep it accurate
Advice, not guarantees. Nothing like "this stops rust."
Topic 04

How a fleet wash works

Your prompt
A business owner with a few trucks asks how a fleet wash works with you. What do you tell them?
Starter answer
Tell me how many vehicles you've got and how often they need it. We set a schedule around your work, and every vehicle gets the same wash every visit. Your trucks carry your name around town. They should look like it.
Supporting shots
The fleet lined up, the wash in fast clips, the finished line
Keep it accurate
Name a fleet customer only with their OK. Describe the schedule you offer.
Topic 05

Viking Vent Friday

Your prompt
What's one thing you see every week that customers do to their cars and shouldn't?
Starter answer
For example: dry-wiping a dusty car. Every swipe drags grit across the paint. Here's what that looks like under a light. Rinse it first, then dry it. Short and sweet.
Supporting shots
The flashlight on the damage, a close-up of the habit, you at the bench
Keep it accurate
Vent about habits, not people or other shops. One thing per Vent.
Topic 06

Why certified matters

Your prompt
Why did you get certified for Avant-Guard 1051 and Revivify?
Starter answer
Because a coating is only as good as the install. With Revivify, the maker says every install comes with a multi-year warranty registered with CARFAX. Ask any shop what they're certified in. It's a fair question.
Supporting shots
Each certificate to camera, the bottles, a coated panel
Keep it accurate
Add what each certification involved, in your own words. Warranty details come from Revivify's own paperwork.

What the day turns into

One day, a month of posts

Everything from the day gets edited, captioned and scheduled. You see each post before it goes out.
