Content follows
the work.

Aim for two to four meaningful feed pieces in a month when there is something worth sharing. There is no catch-up quota.

Ten-second teaser

  1. 0–1.5s: crowd or wide performance frame · “FRI · OCT 02”
  2. 1.5–4.5s: SYNEMA on the decks · “THE NIGHT CONTINUES”
  3. 4.5–7.5s: angle change on a clean musical hit · “PEPPE’S BISTRO”
  4. 7.5–10s: “10 PM–2 AM · EAST STROUDSBURG”

Capture the night

  • Exterior sign, empty room and DJ setup before doors
  • Hands, face and over-shoulder performance angles
  • Arrival energy plus three crowd wides across the night
  • Two clean transition moments with 15 seconds before and after
  • One vertical direct-to-camera line and one closing room shot
  • Clean board feed when possible; keep camera audio for ambience and sync

Three formats. One reason to post.

From the Studio

Show a real decision.

Use when a meaningful musical choice is worth explaining: compare versions, isolate a change or show the next problem being solved.

Participation: Synema records a quick fragment during normal work; Rob can help select and edit it.

The Moment

Show the music in use.

Use when a set creates a worthwhile transition, ID test or room response. Capture around the performance instead of staging a separate shoot.

Participation: Synema plays; capture supports the actual test.

Chapters / Photo Diary

Preserve the context.

Use when a show, session or milestone has a story: setup, people, the real room and the quiet aftermath.

Participation: mostly documentary footage and photos; choose together what is worth sharing.

From Synema’s playbook / Everyday documentation

Keep the cadence natural.

Stories remain the unforced real-time layer: studio fragments, music discoveries, life, humor, shows, friends, gym, backstage and spontaneous thoughts.

From Synema’s playbook / Capture rules

Small shows. Truthful scale.

Small does not mean visually irrelevant. The goal is truthful scale with strong composition.

Before the room fills

  • Capture the empty room before doors.
  • Get exterior/location context so the chapter has a place.
  • Capture setup and soundcheck.

During the set

  • Prioritize close human reactions when the crowd is small instead of fake ultra-wide 'festival' framing.
  • Get one clean wide shot that truthfully establishes the room.
  • Capture supporting artists, friends and community — the world is larger than one person behind decks.
  • Record originals/IDs and the reaction around them.

Afterward, preserve the chapter.

Capture the quiet aftermath. Contrast becomes more valuable over time.

Archive original full-resolution footage even when it is not posted now.

From Synema’s playbook / Decision filter

Before making it a content task

  1. Does this help the music, the live craft, or the story?
  2. Is this real at my current scale?
  3. Am I doing it because it matters, or because artists are 'supposed' to?
  4. Can I capture this without turning the day into a content production?
  5. Will this still be meaningful when SYNEMA is much bigger?
  6. Would I rather spend this hour finishing the record?

From the Studio

Two versions, one decision

“This is the change that made the idea click.”

Show the real before/after and name the musical question it answered.

From the Studio

What keeps returning

“I keep reaching for this feeling.”

Connect a repeating drum, vocal, chord, texture or emotional choice across active work—only after Synema identifies it.

The Moment

From laptop to room

“This is the exact passage I wanted to test.”

Use an original, edit or transition and the real lesson from hearing it outside the studio.

The Moment

One set excerpt

“The room changed here.”

Select one meaningful excerpt from a strong set. Do not force three clips and behind-the-scenes output from every recording.

Chapters

A milestone in context

“What this chapter changed.”

Use the people, place and honest reflection around a release, show or finished piece.

Chapters

The archive, not the algorithm

“Worth saving—even if it stays off the feed.”

Preserve full-resolution material for later stories. Publishing is optional.

A simple publishing standard

One post, one job.

Introduce a decision, demonstrate a live test or preserve a chapter. Do not stack every call to action.

Use the strongest home.

Adapt a strong vertical piece for Instagram, TikTok or YouTube Shorts when appropriate. Do not create platform quotas.

Protect the work.

Confirm music, image and collaborator rights. Preserve full-resolution originals and describe edits truthfully.

When to unlock the full Capture Deck

The larger content system should activate gradually as there is more real activity to feed it.

See the five growth signals and what they unlock
  • More finished/released music: More release storytelling, ID series and Studio → Club content.
  • Regular shows: Formal Show Day capture and more THE MOMENT output.
  • Recurring events: CHAPTERS, event films and community documentation.
  • Growing audience: Recurring series, deeper interaction and recognizable rituals.
  • Touring / larger productions: Full capture system, dedicated team briefs, SYNEMA Films and long-form journey content.
